Each task in acquiring the pendant shows that both agility and endurance are necessary to act in harmony with what you desire to do underwater.
Neither can exist without the other, and both cannot be done without your willingness to embrace the aspect of the sea lion. Remember these lessons well, and count on them once you have gained your aquatic form. Rewards. +300 reputation Notes The text of this quest is identical for both factions. The Thunder Bluff Flight Master can tell you where to find the pendant halves, or see.
Clues From the Tauren flight master In the along the edges of the, a derelict boat rests on the shore. Out to the west of this lies what you seek, swim too far and the ocean will crush you from fatigue. It resides on the ocean floor in a lockbox, waiting for you to claim it. You'll be hard pressed to survive a dive to such depths without aid, so take heart; a bubbly fissure offers renewed breath to divers seeking this half of the pendant. Use it wisely.
From the Night Elf flight master In the northeastern lies a pool of water sickened by pollution. The locals call it the; the has turned the once crystal-blue waters into a mire of industrial byproducts and waste. In the heart of this fen lies what you seek, name. Reporter Name: Clodagh External Link to Quest Note that this is part of the quest chain to receive Druid Aquatic form. This particular report only relates to the horde quest, as horde and alliance quests are at different locations. Como testar led tv semp toshiba dl3254aw. Date/Time: Error Severity: - Zone/Instance:.
Barrens: 56,8 - Center of pond (underwater). Silverpine Forest: 29,29 -Great Sea coords are 39,33 - Both coords are the same though (underwater) What type of error occurred?:.
The air vent at the Barrens quest did not give an underwater breathing buff. There was no air vent at the Silverpine/Great Sea location making the quest item both almost impossible to find and complete. The player cannot survive underwater for this long and completion means several corpse runs to complete. Fatigue occured where it should not at the Silverpine/Great Sea location.
What was the actual result vs. The expected result?:. This part of the quest is easily completable without the underwater breathing buff as the lake is quite shallow but the air vent should give the player a buff which allows them to temporarily breathe underwater. Locating the chest which contained the quest item took 2 players almost an hour and a half to find it in the murky water without the air vent spawn to mark where the quest item should be as well as provide the underwater breathing buff. Having looked at various wiki's and sites, they state that fatigue should not occur near the quest spawn, however it occured before reaching the quest spawn making the long swim down to the item very difficult. This took almost 6 corpse runs to complete at level 70.
I imagine a lower level would struggle to complete this quest. Can the error be repeated? If so, what are the steps?: Take the quest - Hordeside only. Are you able to provide visual evidence?:. (Barrens). (Silverpine) Please detail your character’s race, class, and items (optional): Tauren Druid - Level 70.
Comment by CyberBlade The first part is in Darkshore. Just run north from Auberdine and follow the coast. After 5 min or so you will see a cliff in the water formed as a fishing-hook or something like that.
You can also see it by flying from Moonglade to Rut'Theran Village. The chest is between the two parts of the hook. The second part is in Westfall. You can go there by taking the ship on the left side of the harbor in Auberdine. Then you go to Menethil Harbor.
From there run out of Menethil Harbor and follow the road towards Ironforge or Dun Morogh. When you get to Ironforge take the Deeprun Tram (Ask a guard) to Stormwind. Then go out of Stormwind and go to Goldshire. When you arrive in Goldshire go to the right and follow the road to Westfall.
When you get to the first crossing in Westfall follow the most northern road. It leads to Moonbrook. But when you come to Gold Coast Quarry you shall go to the coast. Beware of the Murlocs here. Then go out in the water and swim around there untill you find an anchor. From that anchor swim down in the deep side of the reef. There should be a Bubbling Fissure there.
Right besides it there should be a chest. Open it and you find the second part. Then just Teleport Moonglade since you are done:). Comment by Magellan19 1st pendant is not hard to find. Should have no problems.
2nd Pendant took me a week, and I swore I would help future druids with this awful quest with simple and accurate directions. Once you get to Westfall, through however means, make your way to Sentinel Hill. If this is your first trip, and you have to walk, then set an hour of your life aside and pack a lunch. It's a long trip.
I totally recommend you stop in Ironforge, Stormwind and Sentinel Hill to get new flight paths from the Gryphon Masters so that you NEVER have to walk that trip again. Side Note - Once in West Falls, and on your way to Sentinel Hill, you may notice Moonbrook - Don't go in! This town is nasty. Full of aggressive humanoids. Just stick to the paths as much as possible. You don't want to die in this area. This is not a friendly area and you may always be resurrecting into trouble.
Once in Sentinel Hill (which is friendly, by the way), make your way, however you want, to the ocean. Beware the trip, because there are beasts everywhere you go. So, wherever you end up on the beach, just make sure on your mini map that you are lined up directly across from Sentinel Hill and the Quarry. Head out into the ocean. Again, watch for beasts. Swim straight out until you reach the end of the reef.
If you go further, you will fatigue. Turn right, take a deep breath and swim down until you get a good view of the ocean floor. Continue swimming straight in this direction coming up for air, of course, until you see the anchor. (You will probably need to come up about 3 times for air before you can see the anchor.) It is embedded on the ocean floor, just on edge of the reef. Long and black, only half of it is visible. Come up for air, then go down to anchor, there is a small ridge behind it on the deep side of the reef. You will have to swim very, very deep to get to this reef, but it will be fine.
There is a bubbly fissure on the ridge that you can right click on to breathe in it's air. Open the chest next to the bubbly fissure and collect your pendant. Teleport back and complete remaining tasks for quest. Good luck, and you are gonna love your aquatic form.
Much easier to swim as a sea lion! Comment by Cruzerm This is realy confusing!! I've been trying to get the pendant of Aquatic Agility, but I'm constantly getting attacked by an invisible Lvl 16 Elder Darkshore Thresher. I can't fight it, or even spell attack it. As a Lvl 16 Druid, I've used every attack spell, but they don't even make contact!
It almost kills me before I can jump on the island. Plus, I'm between the 2 rocks that look somewhat like a 'Crabs Claw', but I don't see what I'm looking for. Pre kindergarten program. It Is very shallow in that location. Anyone have any ideas what to do? Comment by jaded102107 Ok when I was dong this quest I tried to get infor from lighthead but there was nothing so here gos. If your like me and couldn't find the people to get the info from they are at 44.45 in moonglade both the flight path people, one will tell you where one part is and the other will tell you where the other one is.
Now the one is in darshore I did not get the coords for ittbgv5 sorry but the other is in westfalls and I did get the coords for it and they are 18.33 I hope this helps and I hope it shows up on lighthead. Comment by rpalmeri Will tell you how to get to Westfall.
Summary below. QUOTE Facing the sea on the dock in Auberdine, take the ship on the left. Get off the ship in Menethil Harbor, get the FP, and head east. Stay on the road.
The road will continue for a long way then curve south and into some tunnels. Watch your step here. There are some big ogres around. Once you get to Dun Morogh (get the FP in Thelsamar) just follow the road west until you get to Ironforge.
Take the Deeprun Tram (the entrance is in Tinkertown within Ironforge) to Stormwind. Edit: The other option is to ask a mage for a portal. I seem to recall getting portals around level 40 (uh, but y'know, don't ask a Blood Elf). QUOTE Thanks to Elmind for this excellent post.
Kortash, Aesir Warriors Guild. Comment by annapest Doing this quest after 3.0, I was anticipating an easier time for the Westfall part, since not only have the boats changed so I don't have to schlep through all of dwarf country, but the breath timer has also been elongated. I have another Ally-side druid so I've done the quest before. I did the Darkshore part of the pendant first, and when I opened the chest, I got hit with, which seems to be a new 'feature'. Thank god for guildmates with decurse buttons.
I assume the curse is to replicate the conditions of the original quest in terms of breath timer. Either way, I definitely recommend doing the Westfall bit first. Comment by Tzubutai The maps that have been posted for the locations are correct. I just wanted to add that the Darkshore location is a little harder to get find than the Westfall one due to the extensive amount of Threshadons and frenzyfish, not to mention a NASTY hammerhead shark, but if you look in the spot where the spires of rock come together on the ocean floor, you will see the box no problem. (think extended fingers on a hand sticking up out of the floor).
I swam all around the place looking for the box and ended up passed it. Quest helper didn't have icons for the locations for some reason and I think THAT'S what made it so hard. This one is just an old fashioned 'if you want it, You'd better go look for it till you earn it' quest. It's a true is a pain in the you-know-what, but after some determination I finally got both halves and teleported back to turn in. Hours of work for very little xp but I'm sure it's worth it in the long run. The sugestions for swim potions and underwater breathing potions is a waste of time in my opinion as you do not need them and will almost assuredly die at least once trying to complete, thereby wasting your pots and money. Anyway, that's my two cents and I'm just glad to be done with it.:P for the Westfall location swim almost due East from the Gold Coast Quarry area and you will see the box and bubbler for breathing.
For the Darkshore location, it's due North-East from the Ruins of Mathystra to the Northernmost group of three small points of land (the fingers). See Soinlove's post for accurate map pix. This does help very much.
One question. Did anything think to mention. If you are a Druid (Which Should be seeing that this is a druid quest. You do not receive until lvl 17 or 18.
You Do not need any swim speed potion. As a druid at lvl 14 or 15 you receive the shapeshift into AQUATIC Form. Which means you can shapeshift into a walrus looking thing and swim down with out needing to breath. I am specced Resto.
And I still have this form, so I dont see why anyone else doesnt. This may definately help those who may not be able to afford the potions or anything else for that matter. Last edited by now you needed this quest first but now you don't need it anymore for aquatic form.
Comment by Tectosages How in the blazes does a superior aquatic creature get fatigue? Furthermore, how does a quest kill a ghost with fatigue when it isn't even alive? These are the most recent problems encountered with the Trial of the Sea Lion for Alliance avatars. So far I have a reply from Blizzard that says I ought to bleat on a blog since their developers read them.
So bleat.there! One can get both the traveling and aquatic forms for a druid through a trainer so I just abandoned the quest as unnecessary. This quest has been a problem for over three years and apparently won't be corrected ever. For future reference abandon quests that act incorrectly and pursue another line of advance if possible. Allow the game monitor and ticket system some rest cause Blizzard and the World of Warfare will not nor cannot be responsible for correcting their mistakes. Furthermore, it makes them upset and supercilious.
I have a Horde druid and so will check the Silverpine Forest location, a place of monumental SNAFU, where I am sure WoW and Blizzard will succeed in failure. Comment by csdani84 The hints for Night Elves are the following: Half Pendant of Aquatic Endurance (by Bunthen Plainswind, the Tauren Flight Master for druids in Moonglade): 'The waters of Westfall are where you must search, due west-northwest of where the Gold Coast Quarry meets with the shore. An anchor shows where a boat has sunk beyond it, deep within the water. The underwater pressure is fierce here: swimming too far will crush even the mightiest swimmer from fatigue. Look for a natural formation to aid you, - a bubbly fissure is near here, offering deep-water swimmers a chance for renewed breath.'
Half Pendant of Aquatic Agility (by Silva Fil'naveth, the Night Elf Flight Master for druids in Moonglade): 'In the northern part of Darkshore runs the Cliffspring River, flowing down from the lands now known as Felwood. As the river flows out and empties out into the Mist's Edge, travel north to where the deepest parts of the ocean begin. A stone formation that some call the Stone Claw due to its shape is where you may find what you seek. Be warned - threshers gather by the Stone Claw, and will attack those who trespass on their territory.'
By the way, as of 2010, WoW points out the solution of every quest on the map, so in Darkshore you'll find the pointer, too. But the one by the coast of Westfall is actually in the Great Sea, and you won't see it on the Westfall map. And just one more thing: I find it quite stupid that aquatic form can now be learned from the trainer right away.
I don't like the changes made to WoW in the last few years at all. It's now too easy - you don't have to search for or find out anything yourself, starter zone monsters are all yellow, it just takes the edge out of the game. Now questing is only about getting achievements and reaching the level cap ASAP. It's just not right.

Comment by Gimroth By common Blizzard logic, one would assume that 'residents of Moonglade' would insinuate npc's throughout the zone and not the city. Instead, you have to look for these residents in Nighthaven (which I didn't check initially). After reading up here I finally found the answer that it's the two druid flightmasters who give the hints as to where one may find the Two Halfs of the Sea Lion Pendant. By far, this quest has the most worthless directions I've ever seen in the entire game, and I have a Loremaster character.
(A mage, not a druid) Edit: you can now learn Aquatic Form to complete these quests quicker. You'll be rewarded with Aquatic Form! Comment by thelandarian This was very briefly touched upon, but I thought I would emphasize this point- it will make things so much easier for completing this quest. You can obtain the aquatic form from a Druid trainer while on this quest. Although this would seem to defeat the purpose of doing the quest, it will at least help combat any fears of having to quest through otherwise harsh water depths. Even if you don't get the satisfaction of having earned the aquatic form through questing, you'll at least get some reputation with the Cenarion Circle and a little bit of experience. Description For the second trial, you'll need the two halves that make the Pendant of the Sea Lion.
One half draws power from the agility of the sea lion aspect, gliding through water; the other draws power from the incredible endurance of the sea lion aspect. Druids draw on both these traits equally to embody the aspect of their aquatic form. Speak with the locals of Moonglade to learn where the parts may lie, and bring both here to join them together. Once formed, take the pendant to Dendrite Starblaze.
.so i wanted to level my 14th druid.and i wanted to also do Trial Of The Sea Lion.simply because it makes me feel GOOD about being a druid, doing the quests instead of buying it from vendor. Various sources on ze net said the quest was still available, although not needed. But now i see it is not. It is with much sadness I now pleed Thee blizzard to please re-instate the questline, so we can do it in paralell those of us who want to do it instead of buy it. Those who want to buy it and dont be tru druids can do that, but us other Druids with capital D wanna learn it by a TRIAL. BTW: when can we expect updated skins for the Sea Lion and for Travel from?
They are the only ones remaining now that need some luv.:) Boof. If there is one quest I'm glad isn't around anymore, it has to be that one. 'There is a pendant, in some water, along a coast, kkthxbai' Myea, I recall doing that one when leveling this one and since it was my first char I had until that point stayed pretty much in the local area where I was leveling, and I was stunned and apalled that the game expected me to haul all the way over to Westfall (when I finally caved in and looked up where the heck this item was supposed to be) just for a quest item. Think it was teh first time the game sent me out on that kind of journey and while irritating it really stands in a way as a memory of those first stumbling steps in the game, to me. Nostalgia ftw:P.
